15 10 2008

All of those fancy new dashboard upgrades you’ve been hearing about for the New Xbox Experience are going to have to be stored somewhere. In fact, if you don’t have a hard drive or a big enough memory card, you won’t be able to take advantage of all Xbox Live offers come November 19. 128 MB of storage space is needed for the New Xbox Experience which will leave many Xbox 360 Arcade owners in the cold. Microsoft has recognized this as a problem and is offering help.

Head over to Xboxstorageupgrade.com for information on a memory upgrade program. You’ll have to enter your Xbox 360 serial number and console ID to see if you’re eligible. According to Gamasutra, the offer is for refurbished hard drives at a reduced cost and free memory cards. Upon entering your info, you’ll find out if you’re eligible for a free 512 MB memory card or a 20GB hard drive at the price of $19.99 US.
