Madden 2010 Gets Procedural Awareness

3 02 2009

EA Sports has finally announced one of the new features for Madden 2010 via their developer blog.  Supposably, EA is going to listen to what the community says this time around…a good thing?  We think so!

Procedural Awareness (PA) allows developers to increase the overall realism of Madden’s football by implementing lifelike behaviors such as eye tracking from the quarterback to different receivers and defensive backs actually seeing incoming passes before making a play on them. Beyond that, PA allows for the conveyance of emotions through different facial movements and contortions.

The Procedural Awareness will make it to both Playstation 3 & the X-Box 360 platforms.  But, as for the beloved Wii…it’s fate is still in the air.
