Epic Mickey 2 Coming To Xbox 360 This Fall?

1 01 2012

The first Epic Mickey, which came out on Nintendo Wii was rumored to come to Xbox 360 but it never panned out. Now speculation has started that the sequel to the title will indeed be coming to Xbox 360 (as well as PS3).

If rumors are to be believed, Epic Mickey 2 will support 2 player split-screen co-op with the second player assuming the role of Oswald, The Lucky Rabbit who was Walt Disney’s first cartoon star.

So what do you all think of this?  I hope this does happen because maybe that will lead way for them to port the first game to Xbox 360 as well.  Plus, 2 player co-op is always a plus.

[Rumor-Mill] Blu-Ray Talk Is Back Again

9 09 2011

The format war has long been over, and Blu-Ray declared the victor. However, the console war still rages with it’s leader withholding from Blu-Ray technology. Many times before rumors have spilled out about a possible Blu-Ray drive that you could attach to your 360. Xbox is deep within it’s life cycle. So one would start to argue that they would just wait until the next console generation. I think they would be right in thier assumption. The 360 is five-years old and not getting any younger. Will we see Blu-Ray on Xbox 720? No doubt about it! For now the Blu-Ray peripheral add-on for the 360 will just have to remain a rumor.

Devil May Cry HD Collection Coming To Xbox 360?

6 09 2011

Well, the ESRB is at it again.  This time it has Devil May Cry 1, 2, & 3 listed for Xbox 360 (and PS3) with a “M For Mature Rating”.  Given the fact that Konami has already announced a Silent Hill HD collection it seems to be a no brainer for Capcom to re-release Devil May Cry in HD (with achievements of course…).

So what do you all think?  Would you like to see Devil May Cry re-released in HD for the Xbox 360 with achievements?  I, personally, keep hoping for a Dino Crisis HD collection…but I doubt that will ever happen.

Borderlands 2 Coming In 2012?

2 08 2011

I have to admit when Borderlands was first announced back in 2007 I was complete skeptical about the graphics.  Who knew that 4 years later Borderlands would turn out to be one of my favorite titles on Xbox 360?

So it brings me great joy to give you all the news that Borderlands 2 is currently in developement.  It’s quite possible that it may show it’s face at the upcoming Gamerscon in Cologne, Germany next month, according to some sources.

I truly expected to see it at E3 this year, but obviously that did not happen.  Maybe they didn’t have the game where they wanted it to show it at E3.  Which is fine by me.  Take all the time you need (just not Duke Nukem time…) to make this one of the best sequels ever made.  They already have a great formula for this game, so here is hoping that they don’t tweak with it too much because there was not too much about the first one that I did not like.

Here’s what the boss of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, had to say about the Borderlands franchise:

“I can tell you that myself and everyone at Gearbox LOVES Borderlands and we have been absolutely thrilled at the reception it’s gotten from our customers and the fact that it’s sold over four million units now.”

So what do you all think?  Did you like the first Borderlands and would like to see the sequel?  What would you change if you could change anything about it?

CD Projekt to reduce graphics quality on xbox 360 release of The Witcher 2

4 07 2011

According to Tomasz Gop from CD Projekt (link here), the company that developed The Witcher series, the graphics level on the xbox 360 incarnation of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (recently released for the PC) will be reduced to the rough equivalent of medium settings on a PC due to the limitations on the hardware specs of this 5-year-old console.

The game will be released for the 360 in the fourth quarter of this year.

A Crysis Heading To Xbox 360

1 07 2011

If you’re a PC gamer, you know of Crysis.  If you’re a shooter fan, you’ve probably heard of Crysis. Well, if you’re an Xbox 360 fan, you may be getting Crysis ported from the PC to the Xbox 360.  Granted we already have Crysis 2, I would say that a number of us who have played Crysis 2 has not even touched Crysis.  Whether our computers are top-of-the-line to be able to handle it or we are too busy getting achievements.  Whatever the case, it seems that it may not be long before we get Crysis.

Crysis being ported to the Xbox 360?

According to the MyCrysis community forums Crysis has surfaced on the Korean GRB (Game Rating Board), while North American ratings board ESRB also has PS3 and Xbox 360 down as approved platfoms for an ‘M for Mature’ rating attached to Crysis.

So this is just speculation/rumor if you will.  But I would love to see this hit the Xbox 360 (and PS3) for everyone to enjoy it.  How about you?

[E3 2011] Halo 4 – My Opinion..

17 06 2011

At this years E3 Microsoft announced a new trilogy that probably sent Halo fans headspinning.  A new Halo trilogy.  For those of you whom have beat Halo 3 on Legendary (or looked up the ending on  youtube) you know all about the “secret ending’ from Halo 3 that preludes into what we all assumed to be Halo 4.

Well, now it is officially announced.  Halo 4 is coming.  But my concern is it coming to Xbox 360 or does Microsoft have it planned for their next generation console?

Now let me state that this is pure speculation on my part.  I have not seen any proof that Mircosoft is going to release this on a new console, it’s just a hunch.  So bear with me here.

Id Software’s John Carmack says that the” new console will be here in a couple of years. ”  That being said, there are also games in development for the new console already, such as Time Splitters 4.

So here is my question to you loyal readers.  Do you really think that Microsoft won’t release Halo 4 for their new console instead of the Xbox 360?  Let’s face it…Halo is one of the best selling franchises that Microsoft owns.   So with developers already working on games for the next-gen consoles I would think that Microsoft would be pushing for Halo 4 to be released on the next-gen consoles as a “console seller”.

Maybe I’m wrong about this, but with developers already claming that the next-gen console will debut at next years E3 and have a potential release date for early 2013 this seems very very likely to me.  Granted, Microsoft could release it for both platforms in order to sooth the angry tide of people that just bought the Xbox 360 Slim & Kinect less than 1-2 years ago.  But who knows….maybe I’m right, maybe I’m wrong.

What do you think?
