Borderlands 2 Profile: Maya

30 08 2012

I think that Maya could be one of the biggest suprises for Borderlands 2. Her Phaselock ability could potentially be a co-op player’s dream come true. Freezing your enemies in mid-air while all of your buddies light ’em up.

Gearbox has released Maya’s profile for Borderlands 2, check it out!

Borderlands 2 can’t get here quick enough for me, but you can expect it to hit stores September 18th, 2012.

Borderlands 2 Profile: Brick

22 08 2012

While not a playable character this time around, Brick will be in Borderlands 2 to assist you in the hunt for Handsome Jack. Check out his profile!

When I first played Brick in the original Borderlands I was a bit skeptical about his abilities. But after he got leveled up, I think he was one of Borderlands best suprise characters.

Notable thing about Brick: He likes puppies.

Aww, how sweet, dont we all?

Borderlands 2 launches this September 18th, 2012. Are you ready for it? I know we are!

Borderlands 2 Profile: Salvador

20 08 2012

With Borderlands 2 less than a month away, Gearbox/2K are keeping the hype up for (probably) the most anticipated co-op title of this year. I can’t wait to see the improvements made from the first game. The skill trees, from what I’ve seen, are going to be a lot more awesome. Which could be a problem as well because there aren’t really any bad choices for any of the characters skill trees. So what to pick? I’ll probably spend as much time debating that as I will looting and shooting!

So here is the official profile for Salvador, the Gunzerker! (click on the picture for a bigger version).

I’d have to say my favorite part of his profile is: “Likes: Shooting Things, Dislikes: Not Shooting Things.”

Well, Salvador…we can’t wait to start shooting things with you and the rest of the vault hunters when Borderlands 2 arrives September 18th, 2012!

Gearbox Wants To Know…What Do You Want In The Borderlands 2 Collecters Edition?

9 09 2011

Gearbox never ceases to amaze me. I never thought Borderlands would ever amount to anything. Was I ever wrong. It is by far my favorite co-op experience t0-date.  But on the the purpose of this post…Gearbox wants to know what YOU, the people that buy their games, want in the Borderlands 2 Collectors Edition.  Please people, be realistic…don’t go posting irrational stuff (like real guns).  Those people just look like idiots.

Click here to post your dream collectors edition for Borderlands 2.

Also, there is a fairly short survey about the first game that Gearbox would like you to give feedback on.  I’m guessing so they know what features most people enjoyed and what not to cut from Borderlands 2.

New Borderlands 2 Trailer Shows Us Maya, The Siren

4 09 2011

Yes it is confirmed that Borderlands 2 will have a Siren class like the original did.  But, Maya who is the new Siren, will not have the “phasewalking” power as did Lilith.  Gearbox states that all Sirens are connected, but they do not have the same powers as each other.  So, it sounds like Gearbox is trying to elude to something bigger with the Sirens.  What that will be? Only time will tell.  Until then, enjoy this 14 minute gameplay of Borderlands 2…while it’s still available.

If you would like see screenshots of Maya, just visit out photobucket page by clicking here!

The First Gameplay Footage From Borderlands 2 Leaked!

21 08 2011

**UPDATE** 8/22/2011 – As you can all see now, Gearbox and 2K have, um, claimed this video.  Sorry for those of you who did not get to see it.  I’m sure another video will pop up sooner or later.

Granted the camera isn’t perfect, you do get a good look at the “disposable” Tediore weapons in action.  You also get your first look at one of the new creature enemies in the game as well.

I think Borderlands 2 will be a hit.  It seems a lot of franchises are going the 4 player co-op way and I think we have to thank games like Borderlands for this.

When I first seen the artwork of Borderlands in a Game Informer issue.  I was like, “What the hell is this crap?”   Who knew that it would turn out to be one of my favorite games on the Xbox 360 and one of the best co-op games I’ve ever played?

What are your thoughts on the trailer and what new things would you like to see in Borderlands 2?

Borderlands 2 Coming In 2012?

2 08 2011

I have to admit when Borderlands was first announced back in 2007 I was complete skeptical about the graphics.  Who knew that 4 years later Borderlands would turn out to be one of my favorite titles on Xbox 360?

So it brings me great joy to give you all the news that Borderlands 2 is currently in developement.  It’s quite possible that it may show it’s face at the upcoming Gamerscon in Cologne, Germany next month, according to some sources.

I truly expected to see it at E3 this year, but obviously that did not happen.  Maybe they didn’t have the game where they wanted it to show it at E3.  Which is fine by me.  Take all the time you need (just not Duke Nukem time…) to make this one of the best sequels ever made.  They already have a great formula for this game, so here is hoping that they don’t tweak with it too much because there was not too much about the first one that I did not like.

Here’s what the boss of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, had to say about the Borderlands franchise:

“I can tell you that myself and everyone at Gearbox LOVES Borderlands and we have been absolutely thrilled at the reception it’s gotten from our customers and the fact that it’s sold over four million units now.”

So what do you all think?  Did you like the first Borderlands and would like to see the sequel?  What would you change if you could change anything about it?
